Peer2Peer Mentoring Program

PEER 2 PEER MENTORING PROGRAM

Hello Law & Justice Students,

The Peer2Peer Mentoring Program is now open.

The P2P Mentoring Program has had a long history in Dictum Society. It’s one of our key programs where we strive to help our members to excel in their academic studies. It provides support to students, especially first year Law & Justice students with their studies.

You will be paired with a senior fellow student who can give you tips on essay writing, AGLC referencing, exam prep, volunteering, and more! If you’re a first year student, the best way to set yourself up to succeed in your studies is by signing up to our program.* Not only are you paired up with a senior fellow student, but you’re also invited to our academic networking events and parties! Whoever said studying & fun can’t be together?

Sign up as a mentor to help students and get an acknowledging certificate. Mentoring experience looks great on a resume!

You can also sign up as a Mentee and you will be paired up with a Mentor to assist you with your essay, career pathway advice and network opportunities!

Mentor and Mentee applications are now open again for 2023. Please refer to the links below to apply:

Mentor Application Form: Click Here to be taken to the form!

Mentee Application Form: Click Here to be taken to the form!

Please note if there are not enough mentors for each mentee to be paired up, you will be put on a wait-list, so apply now to not miss out! VIP members will get priority on the wait-list.

* You MUST be a current Dictum member to participate.

Any urgent communications can be sent to education@dictumsocietyvu.com.

Please bear in mind the disclaimer that the Peer2Peer Mentoring Program is unrelated to the VU Student Mentor Program. If you are experiencing troubles with your studies your best solution is to speak with a VU Student Mentor as they specialise in assisting you academically. Dictum Student Mentors are intended as a more casual social networking resource for students by students. The aim of our program is to connect students early in their degrees with more senior students who can assist in extending your legal network, providing both career advice and law school tips, and advertise extracurricular opportunities that are highly regarded by employers.
